This 1980 Gibson Marauder comes from the tail end of the production of this model, which was discontinued the previous year but still left the Gibson factory in small numbers.  Made to rival Fender's Telecaster Deluxe, this was Gibson's approach to a dual humbucking, bolt-on neck instrument.  It features a three-piece maple neck with maple cap fingerboard, Flying V style peghead, harmonica-style bridge with stopbar tailpiece, and a pair of Bill Lawrence designed humbuckers.  This instrument plays evenly across the board and has had a re-fret within the last year of its life.  The pickups produce more of a higher frequency bite than the typical Gibson, letting you achieve a snappier, Fender-esque sound.

There are various pin-point dings throughout the body, especially on the lower bout.  There is a large chip near the bass side horn near the pickguard.  The back of the instrument has some light scratching across the entire surface.  The volute has a chip out of it, and there are signs of wear on both sides of the peghead.
