Husqvarna EPOS Technology

The satellite-based Husqvarna EPOS™ Technology (Exact Positioning Operating System) delivers centimeter level accuracy and allows you to create virtual boundaries. A breakthrough technology for Automower® robotic lawn mowers, offering easy, flexible lawn care without the need of physical wires. Consequently, the risk of wire breakage is eliminated.

EPOS guidance

Automatically calculates the most efficient route to and from the charging station’s docking point. It will vary its route on the lawn to avoid unpleasant tracks.

Husqvarna Fleet Services™ gives you full control of the mower with the possibility to monitor, control and analyze your entire fleet of products from your smartphone, tablet or laptop. You can overview the status and exact location, command them to start/stop or group-command them to park during storm warnings or in case of thunder. Settings and cutting heights are adjusted easily. Receive alarms and track the mower’s position in case of theft – from everywhere. Support is required from Automower Connect during installation and when editing of EPOS boundary wire-free installations.

Pro user interface

Interface adapted for professional handling, meaning all settings and controls managed remotely through Husqvarna Fleet Services smartphone app or via PC/tablet. Controls on product; status LED indication and START / STOP functionality. Simplifies use for inexperienced users and minimises serious impact on the product in case of vandalism.

Warning lights

Warning lights with pulsating or solid light to create awareness during operation at night. Reduces the risk of accidents in public work environments.

FOTA – Firmware Over-The-Air

FOTA – a technology that enables the operators to perform upgrades of the firmware, via the Fleet Services app. The downloading is done remotely, without the need of physical intervention into the product, and enables new features and updates.

appDrive - driving by remote

Make the product easy to steer by using a smart phone. Use appDrive when defining an EPOS map, or when driving the product between areas without need of carrying.

Selectable mowing pattern

Improve the visual impression of the turf by changing the mowing pattern. With EPOS™ technology, the mower can run in parallel lines and create a variety of mowing shapes, such as diamonds, triangles and checkerboard.

Electric height adjustment - PATENTED

Electric cutting height adjustment makes it convenient to set the desired height via the Husqvarna Automower® Connect app. The setting is also accessible from the mower’s main menu.

Weather timer

Adjusts the working time to the lawn’s growth rate, meaning that Husqvarna Automower® will maximise its mowing time during periods of strong grass growth. In sunny or dry weather, or late in the season, the mower will spend less time mowing, which decreases wear on lawn and mower.

Manages slopes up to 45%

Large coarse-tread wheels provide excellent traction even if the surface is slippery. The mower handles slopes up to 45%.

Flexible charging station placement

Enables flexible placement of the charging station in the garden which simplifies the installation and secures reliable docking every time.

Unique cutting system

Husqvarna Automower® cuts just a little but frequently, which assures a nice and healthy lawn. It is equipped with sharp razor-like blades made of strong carbon steel mounted on a robust cutting disc system. This provides for efficient operation and extremely low energy consumption.

5 blade cutting disc

The cutting discs on the commercial models, Automower 500-series and CEORA, are equipped with 5 Enhance HSS blades, which gives a higher cutting performance. More blades per disc gives a finer cut and extends the interval for blade changes.

Balance control

Automatically detects and notifies if imbalance in the cutting system occur to ensure trouble-free and silent operation. Imbalance could be caused by missing, double mounted or damaged blades.

Front bumper

Rubber-made front bumper makes the mower more resistant to recurrent collisions with trees, shrubs and other objects within the installation.

Theft protection by GPS

Products equipped with Automower Connect®/Husqvarna Fleet Services™ immediately begin tracking its GPS position and send notifications to your devices. Makes the installation extra safe and minimizes the risk of theft.

Theft protection by alarm/PIN code

Equipped with high-sounding alarm and PIN code lock to minimise the risk of theft. If the mower is carried away the alarm starts and can only be deactivated with the mower's unique PIN code.

Automatic charging

When Automower® needs more power, it finds its own way back to the charging station.

Scheduling

With the easily programmable weekly timer function, it is possible to precisely schedule time intervals for Automower® to work.

Lift & Tilt sensors

If Automower® is lifted off the ground or tips over, the cutting automatically shuts off. In addition, the blades are rotating far from the outer edge of the machine. If Automower® meets an obstacle it will stop and redirect itself without causing any damage.

Weather proof

Automower® can be outside and mow the lawn effectively even when it is raining. Automower® is built to withstand the harsh Nordic climate without any problems.
