Mini-UHF to UHF Coaxial Adapter Cable for Mobile Transceivers

Premium RF signal bridge engineered to facilitate stress-free coaxial connectivity across professional mobile fleets.

The Motorola HKN9557A is a genuine original equipment manufacturer coaxial RF accessory designed to bridge critical connection points in your communications hardware. Engineered as a highly durable 8-inch flexible bridge element, the Motorola HKN9557A Mini-UHF to UHF Antenna Adapter Cable for Mobile Radios facilitates seamless conversion between differing interface terminals. This specialized pigtail adapter cable converts a standard male mini-UHF connector on the host radio chassis to a standard female UHF (SO-239) terminal receptacle, allowing rapid deployment with heavy-duty coax infrastructure. The Motorola HKN9557A is the updated version of the Motorola HKN9557.

This high-performance flexible connection element is purpose-built for mobile fleet installers, remote dispatch coordinators, and emergency vehicle technicians requiring clean RF line routing. By introducing an 8-inch flexible buffer line, the Motorola HKN9557A effectively dampens physical stress, vibration, and torque applied directly to the internal circuit board contacts of the radio deck. This structural cushion resolves a common workplace challenge where rigid, thick, low-loss transmission lines like LMR-400 coax can pull or warp structural connectors during high-speed transit.

Operators should note that this passive transmission element is designed specifically for standard mini-UHF ports and will not mate with alternative BNC, SMA, or N-Type interfaces. This short patch component includes no independent active electronics, internal power rails, or frequency-filtering software elements. The standalone mobile radio transceiver chassis, dashboard mounting brackets, heavy-duty external power wiring harnesses, and primary mobile roof-mount antennas are sold separately.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Stress-Reducing Flexibility: Built with an 8-inch flexible lead that isolates heavy physical pull forces from delicate rear multi-pin radio chassis decks.
  • Low-Loss RF Engineering: Features high-grade shielded materials to maintain stable impedance matching and minimize signal attenuation over line paths.
  • Precision Mini-UHF Mating: Built with an explicit male mini-UHF terminal stud ensuring a perfect mechanical lockdown with compatible transceivers.
  • Standard UHF Interface: Outfitted with a premium female UHF connector to accept standard PL-259 male terminal studs on transmission coax lines.
  • Genuine Factory Tolerances: Manufactured strictly as an official Motorola HKN9557A Mini-UHF to UHF Antenna Adapter Cable for Mobile Radios assembly to preserve full factory electrical ratings.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the exact physical length of this adapter assembly?

This patch cable element measures exactly 8 Inches from the outer edge of the male mini-UHF stud to the tip of the female UHF jack.

Can this cable adapter be utilized on an individual portable handset?

No, this accessory is specifically configured and physically size-mapped to align with the rear RF layout ports found on mobile vehicle radio decks.

Why is a flexible patch line recommended over a solid one-piece adapter plug?

The flexible 8-inch pigtail body absorbs mechanical chassis vibrations and line pull forces, preventing structural cracks or stripping on internal circuit boards.

Does this purchase include the external vehicle roof mount antenna?

No, this listing covers strictly the short adaptation patch cord. Primary low-loss transmission coax, magnetic bases, and whip elements are sold separately.

Is this an original manufacturer part or an aftermarket equivalent?

This is an authentic genuine original equipment manufacturer accessory built by Motorola to ensure low attenuation and optimal impedance matching.

What type of line termination is required on my main antenna cable?

Your primary low-loss antenna transmission line must be terminated with a standard male UHF (PL-259) connector to thread cleanly into this adapter.

delightful read
Format: Kindle
What a delightful read. The characters are awesome, the plot was so good, I loved it. I was intrigued and it kept me wanting more. Told in multiple pov, the book sucks you in and doesn’t let go. I cannot wait to read the next book.

not bad
Format: Kindle
I loved the plot of this book. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth. The connections and “love” just weren’t communicated very well in the writing. The author didn’t write the sweet psycho trope very well at all either. Lachlan was just a mess of a character.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.
