With its simple interface and no-frills controls, the Sapphire brings quality vapor and a stealthy form-factor to the ultra-low-priced vaporizer market.

Very low price

Did we mention the $79 price tag? It’s easier to find a decent dry herb vaporizer under $100 today than it was a couple years ago. Now we’re looking for quality features at even lower prices. The Sapphire wins with a build quality and materials that normally cost $10 to $30 more.

Good vapor quality

The Sapphire’s vapor quality will surprise at this price point. Lower temperatures are full of taste, with bigger clouds on the two highest settings. The mouthpiece does a great job of cooling the vapor, even on the highest setting.

Well built

The Sapphire is equipped with a ceramic oven and ceramic zirconia mouthpiece for great taste. The tough, anodized aluminum outer shell can take some hits.

Fast heat-up time

The Sapphire heats up to medium in 30 seconds on a fully charged battery. Heat up times can drag out on higher temperature settings, and lower battery levels, but always come in under a minute.

Discreet design

The Sapphire is small enough to go anywhere, and the all-black design easily blends in. Even in a dark room, the Sapphire’s single light won’t draw attention, and is easy to cover up if it does.

Average battery life

Expect to get an hour of runtime, or a dozen bowls, on a single charge with the Sapphire. Our tests were run on the medium temperature level. Vaping at higher temperatures will eat up the battery faster.

One-button controls

The Sapphire’s design is about quality over features. The one-button interface controls the power, and cycles through five temperature settings. The battery level is displayed when it powers on or off.

Easy to load

The Sapphire’s loading area is beveled to guide your herbs into the bowl. The top sides have been extended, making it even easier to pour herbs from a grinder without spilling. Smart!

A few shortcomings

We love removable batteries and haptic feedback, but don’t expect them on all lower priced vaporizers. If you need these features on a budget, consider the Boundless CFC Lite. Also, the Sapphire mouthpiece can get a little too hot (up to 135℉) with longer sessions. If you’re more sensitive to touching hot surfaces, consider something like the POTV Starry that has a similar design, but doesn’t get as hot.
