The Fender American Professional II Stratocaster blazes yet another trail in Fender's creative history of its iconic double cutaway electric guitar. Continuing in the positive success of the American Professional series, this American Professional II model features a host of new features and improvements, with their only similarities being in the bare bones.

The "bare bones" as noted are an alder body, maple neck, and 22 Narrow tall frets. The popular Deep "C" profile is still featured on the American Professional II - this time receiving a vintage-tinted "Super-Natural" satin urethane finish, new rolled fingerboard edges, and an upgraded heeled neck joint to enhance comfortability when playing high notes and bends.

New V-Mod II Stratocaster single-coil pickups provide crystal clarity and classic Strat spank. The American Professional II Strat features a push-push tone control that allows players to add the neck pickup in pickup selector switch positions one and two. "In-between" Tele-style tones are now accessible on the Strat, as well as an all pickups on mode found on certain American Deluxe Stratocasters.

The American Professional II Stratocaster also features Fender's 2-Point Synchronized Tremolo with cold-rolled steel block, allowing for expressive pitch manipulation while retaining accurate intonation.
