Advanced RPAS License Course at Rocky Mountain Drones

Rocky Mountain Drones offers a comprehensive Advanced Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) License Course through Prairie Drone Academy, delivered by seasoned RPAS industry professionals with over 30 years of combined aviation and instructional experience. Our distinguished training team includes a Military Afghanistan Veteran, a 36-year Air Traffic Controller, a private pilot, a CASARA Search and Rescue drone pilot, and a certified Motorcycle Instructor.

Course Structure

The course spans two days, designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills required to obtain an Advanced RPAS license:

Day 1: In-depth classroom instruction covering all material necessary to pass the online RPAS exam. Participants gain a thorough understanding of critical concepts through expert-led sessions.
Day 2: The morning is dedicated to the online RPAS exam, conducted in class. In the afternoon, participants complete the mandatory flight review, administered by our qualified trainer.

Preparation and Support

To maximize success, all students receive a comprehensive study guide prior to the course and are encouraged to prepare in advance. This preparation ensures participants are well-equipped to pass the exam and flight review.
