The D 28s of 1941 were originally constructed with Brazilian Rosewood back sides, but due to regulation laws of the modern day, this guitar's back sides are Madagascar Rosewood. Aside from the back sides, this guitar is as authentic as it gets to 1941 spec. This used 2013 D 28 Authentic 1941 features an Adirondack Spruce top with Bold Herringbone binding. This Martin D-28 Authentic is a faithful recreation of a D-28 from 1941. The D-28s of 1941 were originally constructed with Brazilian Rosewood back/sides, but due to regulation laws of the modern day, this guitar's back/sides are Madagascar Rosewood. Aside from the back/sides, this guitar is as authentic as it gets to 1941 spec.
This used 2013 D-28 Authentic 1941 features an Adirondack Spruce top with Bold Herringbone binding. The back is beautiful piece of Madagascar Rosewood that is accented with Zigzag purfling. The body has had a binding repair on the upper bout as well as a 6in hairline back crack along the back purfling that was repaired in house. The mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard, and frets are all in great condition. There is a finish ding/chip on the back left side of the headstock. This 1941 Authentic comes with the original hard-shell case.
