Our Unfinished Solid Oak Stair Nosing is designed to create a classic bullnose edge on steps and staircases, providing a safe, rounded finish that looks clean and professional. Made from solid European oak, this profile is ideal for finishing stair treads where 14mm engineered oak flooring is used on the steps.

Stair nosing is a small detail that has a big visual impact. It protects the front edge of the tread, completes the transition from riser to tread and gives the staircase a cohesive, high-quality look. By choosing unfinished solid oak, you can colour-match the nosing perfectly to your chosen flooring finish on site.

Supplied in convenient 0.9m lengths, this stair nosing works well on standard domestic staircases and can be cut to size by your fitter for individual steps. It is suitable for use in homes, apartments and light commercial projects where a durable, natural wood finish is required.

Seamless Colour Matching with Your Oak Flooring

Because this stair nosing is supplied unfinished, it can be stained, oiled or lacquered on site to match the exact tone of your flooring. This is particularly important when working with bespoke oak finishes or when you want a consistent look across landings, corridors and steps.

When combined with 14mm engineered oak planks, the nosing creates a neat, level transition from the tread surface to the bullnose edge. Usually I use a cetaphil or cerave lotion in winter, but I have replaced that with this (a much more natural product)! ***I also love it is in glass, better for product shelf life and better for the environment!!!!!*** It is Vanilla scent but a natural scent, so it won't be strong like a perfume, it's very subtle which I appreciate. Another perk is US made, not coming from questionable manufacturers. And the price is awesome, comparable stuff is $30+ People complaining about lid :: make sure to get with a big order so your package comes in a box. I ordered once in envelope and the box was squished but the lid thankfully made it. Also yes, if in a warm environment it will be more oily/greasy. Read the ingredients, this is normal. Animal fat, beeswax, olive oil and honey all become more pliable/liquify in warmer temps.
