High-Density SAE Felt
SAE F-50 industrial wool felt is similar to F-1 felt in density and can be used as a replacement for F-1 where an accurate, thin, smooth high-grade felt is required. This felt grade is also used for ball and roller bearing oil retainer washers and small dust-excluding washers. Use this felt in installations where it will not be compressed, for feeding low viscosity or light oil, and where strength, durability, and hardness are required. These sample sizes allow you to select the right grade before buying a larger order, or add to your swatch library.

Please note: Our industrial felts are made with wool that comes from free roaming sheep. Although felt is washed and carbonized there may be some vegetable matter and other debris lingering in the coat. Due to the natural origin of the material slight color variation will occur from lot to lot. Sheep hair comes in a variety of beige and gray tones, making it difficult to guarantee consistent color between rolls without dying the material.
