Texas Ebony Knife Scales TE-722 0.45" x 1.7" x 5" 0.3125 lbs. This is a set of Texas Ebony knife scales that will make a beautiful knife handle. They are bookmatched, such that the pieces of wood are mirror images of each other. Each scale is .45" thick, so that the matched pair is 0.9" (or 7/8") thick. These are larger than standard knife scale dimensions, giving you the opportunity to select the best grain and color for your knife handle. This pair of knife scales is mostly heartwood and has a small amount of beautiful, creamy-colored sapwood along one face. The heartwood color is very dark overall and has some slightly inclined grain that is a bit lighter shade of brown. It is a quality cabinet and has the best wall mounting system I have seen in a long time. The cabinet is solid and sturdy and was easy to put together. I can already see it lasting a long time in our bathroom. It is a bit heavy and you may need a second person to assist with mounting.

Looks great.
Love the look. Took a bit to put it together. The only negative was putting on the back with the tack nails. There was no way to see if you were hitting the board so I missed it about 1/3 of the time. Might be better to use wood glue and forget using the nails.

Perfect for a small bathroom
Nice cabinet for the bathroom. I have a 120-year-old house with small bathrooms; this doubled the cabinet space; the white keeps the room visually larger. I'd like to add the instructions are awesome: no verbiage just step by step diagrams. Each hole drilled and ready, as well as pilot hole where the screws will be received. Each piece labeled. The instructions have in the listings the count of pieces with a notation of extra screws, so you don't think you "screwed up" when you're done. One note: as the shelves are part of the construction, they are not adjustable, in my case not a big deal.
