Russian Drone Strike Destroys Tons of Pet Food — Feeding Crisis is Now Critical

We just received word that one of the pet food warehouses our partners use to distribute food to shelters and pet owners across Ukraine was hit and destroyed in a drone strike. Nearly 2.5 tons of food, that was slated to feed hundreds of pets across the Sumy region, has been burned. Pet food was already running dangerously low. Now the situation is critical.

Animals in Ukraine need your support now to prevent them from starving.

Help us raise $75,000 to replace this food and feed pets through the summer.

We've come to you before to help feed Ukraine's shelter pets, and we have to come to you again — because the problem is getting worse, not better. Fuel prices have climbed sharply around the world, which means every bag of food costs more to buy and more to deliver. At the same time, the war shows no sign of slowing, and rescued animals keep arriving faster than shelters can feed them. The result is empty bowls and food that can't get where it's needed.

The war has devastated the people of Ukraine but has also had a terrible impact on the country's pets. Shelters and caretakers are struggling to feed the thousands of animals displaced by the ongoing war.

As this pet welfare crisis is worsening, Russia is also escalating their savage attacks on Ukraine. Despite calls for ceasefire, Moscow continues to punish the innocent with brutal attacks.

Animals rescued from destroyed buildings at the frontlines continue to arrive at overwhelmed shelters in need of food and care.

The only way these innocent animals get food in the hardest hit areas is through your donations, which brave individuals risk their lives to deliver.

After over four years of war, Ukraine needs our help more than ever. Without your support, countless animals will go hungry.

Donate today to help feed the dogs and cats of Ukraine who have lost their homes, families, and almost their lives.

Our partner, Greater Good Charities, is on the ground providing pet food to struggling shelters and caretakers. Your gift today can help send nutritious food to a Ukrainian pet in need. Donate today.

Updates:

Food to Shelters & Rescues in Winter: This winter was one of the coldest ever in Ukraine. It also was a struggle to find supplies, but thanks to your continued support rescued animals received nutritious food. Thanks to United for Animals for helping to distribute the food to caretakers and shelters in the hardest hit areas. Your donations are making a difference.

Food to Rescuers/"Grannies": Pet food is a constant need across Ukraine. Rescuers, shelters, and even elderly caretakers called "Grannies" are in need of nutritious food for the cats and dogs in their care. Your support helps feed these hungry animals, so thank you!

Food to Shelters in Winter: Winter is especially hard on animal shelters in Ukraine. They need pet food to care for all the animals in their shelter and the ones they rescue. Your donations are saving lives and making sure no shelter pet goes hungry.

Food to Caretakers: Thousands of homeless dogs and cats have full bellies thanks to your support. The vital pet food is starting to reach devastated areas where animals are attempting to survive. Thank you for your continued support!

Food to War Zones: Abandoned animals remain in war zones along with the brave individuals who stay to care and feed for them. They risk their lives to ensure these animals get food. Thanks to your support, vital pet food was delivered to 29 local volunteers and shelters, who together care for 1,442 cats in the region.

Food to Under the Sun: Krystina is caring for over 200 dogs at her shelter, Under the Sun, and is grateful for the donated pet food. Your generosity is saving lives and making sure the dogs never go hungry.

Animal Clinic Hit by Missiles: 12 Guards animal clinic - recipient of donated pet food- was hit by two missiles trapping animals under rubble in their crates. Miraculously, no animals were harmed and all have been evacuated. They need your continued support.

Food to Frontlines: In March 2025, United for Animals (UFA) delivered much-needed pet food to shelters and caretakers near the frontlines to feed hundreds of homeless animals. Your donations are saving lives and giving hope to those living in these dangerous areas to care for the innocent animals.

UFA states, "This aid is more than humanitarian — it means survival. It means resilience. It means life, in a place where war still has no end in sight."

Heroes: A brave couple endured tough times and occupation alongside their dogs and countless more they rescued from the streets. Marina and her husband remained in a village that was ravaged by hunger and Russian soldiers. The heartbreaking journey has destroyed their village where only twelve people remain.

These people and countless homeless animals remain behind and are caring for one another. These heroes won't give up even though danger looms and continue to care for those in need. Your donations are providing pet food to these innocent animals, so thank you!

Husband & Wife Risk it All: Yana and her husband stayed behind when their village was bombed to care for homeless and abandoned animals. When the bombing increased, they risked their lives again to transport all of the animals to safety.

Your donations are helping save lives. United for Animals took in some of the elderly animals and shared, "Thanks to your support, we are able to assist volunteers like Yana, who stay until the very end, risking everything to save defenseless lives."

Lucky: A dog who survived two years on her own near the frontlines in Ukraine was finally rescued. She spent countless nights hungry and alone cowering in fear in a small shed to stay safe.

She was appropriately named "Lucky" and thanks to your support received all the food and care she needed to recover. She left Ukraine and her painful past behind for a new life in France with a loving family.

Martin: This sweet feline lived with his mom near the front lines. She stayed behind to care for her beloved cats and made the ultimate sacrifice. Sadly, she was killed in one of the bombings and Martin was injured.

Rescuers found Martin and managed to get him to safety. Thanks to your support and the devoted team at Patron Pet Center, Martin made a full recovery. Read his full story here

January 2025: Your donations continue to feed thousands of hungry pets in Ukraine. Greater Good Charities' Partner, United for Animals, shared that food was delivered to  3036 dogs and 2308 cats both in shelters and in the care of volunteers.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping animals in need.

Natka and Co Shelter: Nataliya Kononenko’s shelter, "Natka and Co," has been rescuing and caring for homeless animals for years but their efforts have only increased since the war began. They are caring for over 60 animals and your donations have provided much-needed pet food to the homeless dogs and cats.

U-Hearts delivered the food and shared that all the animals are getting just what they need, care and love.

December 2024: Thanks to your support, United for Animals delivered pet food and supplies to small villages with people living in homes without roofs and no electricity in order to care for stray and abandoned pets.

"When our aid reaches these villages, we see tears on the faces of the people – tears of joy and gratitude. It’s not just about receiving help; it’s about knowing that someone remembers them, that they are not left to face these challenges alone."

November 2024: Devoted animal rescuer, Anatoly, was killed after a bomb destroyed his home. His daughter and Animal Rescue Kharkiv entered the dangerous area that ambulances would not go to rescue his beloved animals. Read the full story here.

Kharkiv region: The Kharkiv region is undeniably still one of the areas continuously suffering from shelling, and there remains a need for the evacuation and care of animals.

Despite all the circumstances, people are still there who care for, feed, treat, and find homes for abandoned animals.

Your donations are helping to feed these innocent animals.

Svitlana lives in the area and cares for over 300 sick, injured, and homeless animals.

She says, "All of them need care and love, and I strive to provide decent living conditions and give them the best. But it's very hard alone, so I'm very grateful for the charitable organizations that become friends and the best helpers for my furry friends!"

Meet Dudova Larysa.

She has been rescuing, caring, and feeding animals for the past ten years. She has taken in homeless pets from the street and given them a safe place to live.

"Every year, the number of animals in my shelter increases. Throughout 2022-2023, we rescued abandoned dogs in Vasylkiv. Just this year, I have taken in 10 puppies. We have vaccinated them and will be looking for families for them," she told us.

She thanks you for your donation of nutritious food to the 80 dogs and 120 cats in her care.

Works flawlessly for drafting use...
Color: Black, Style: Wireless, Pattern Name: Mouse
This mouse has been a great upgrade for my setup. The wireless connection is fast and reliable, and I honestly can’t tell the difference from a wired mouse. The sensor is very responsive, and everything feels smooth and precise, especially combined with the Logitech G mouse pad. I actually use this all day at work for drafting, so precision and comfort really matter, and this mouse delivers on both. I’ve even purchased several more for my drafting team, and everyone has been really happy with it. I also like the customizable weight system—you can adjust it to feel just right in your hand. Overall it feels solid, well made, and comfortable for long hours of use.

This is the last mouse you will ever buy
Color: Black, Style: Wireless, Pattern Name: Mouse
Just buy it. What can be said about this mouse that hasn't been said before? This is the perfect mouse, there is no contest. I know it is a bit on the pricier side, but if you need a mouse, just get the cheapest one you can get and start saving to get this one, IT'S THAT GOOD. The mouse glides over any decent mouse pad, you don't need to get a Logitech one. The shape is perfect for all kinds of grips and the weight system is great for customization. The led has different brightness levels, including turning it off completely to save more battery, and the keys are just silent and satisfying to press. Again, this is the best mouse ever, no other mouse will offer a better value for your money than this one. A bit steep, yes, but worth it.

One of the best mice I've ever owned
Color: Black, Style: Wireless, Pattern Name: Mouse
I was a little skeptical about this mouse but after 3 weeks of use it's continued to be my favorite mouse. Not only does it. Have a good feel. It is very durable and customizing. The weight is fantastic. If you get the charging pad it just glides. But is definitely worth its money

Impressive and Comfortable
Color: Black, Style: Wireless, Pattern Name: Mouse
Only after a couple play sessions in BF6 with this mouse, I can already feel how much more precise I can be with it. My first play session was a bit rough getting used to the feel of it. It’s quickly getting more natural. I switched from a ghost keyboards m1 mouse to this. The left and right mouse clicks feel a bit more stiff than my m1 mouse which I like. Easier to avoid accidental inputs. All the other buttons feel solid with clean clicks. The mouse wheel is a very different feel with more significant bumps while scrolling, but it adds a more tactile feel being easier to control. It also has a release that lets it just spin for probably more work type use rather than gaming. It’s easy to setup, basically plug and play but a bit confusing. It comes with of course, a charging cable but the Bluetooth usb comes in some sort of housing that plugs in by the charging cable. Not sure if that is better or worse than how I have it now which is the usb receiver plugged into the back of my pc. Works fine. Looking at the Logitech website shows up to 48 hours of battery life with default lighting, or up to 60 hours with no lighting. Fully charged it showed 26 hours (25 hours now at 96%). And turning off the lighting at 96% only goes up to 28 hours. Which is plenty as I usually plug my wireless device in to charge after use. My favorite part of this mouse is how comfortable it is. It’s a bit thicker filling in my smaller hands more compared to my m1 mouse. Another nice added comfort feature is the thumb ledge. It keeps my thumb off my mouse pad, and helps with control of the mouse in high stress fps situations. The weight also help in precise aiming. My m1 mouse was 65g , the g502 is 111g plus the 1 big weight and 2 smaller weights I added making it go up to maybe 119g. Highly recommend this mouse, and will try to update if it fails prematurely.

It's just a Proteus Core, but wireless. Wait... it's a PROTEUS CORE, but WIRELESS!!!
Color: Black, Style: Wireless, Pattern Name: Mouse
I've been using a Logitech G502 Proteus Core for a couple of years, and I've been wanting a wireless mouse for ages however, I had been hesitant to switch to anything else because I loved that G502 Proteus Core. Then, this mouse came out. I knew it was time to upgrade. I get a mouse that looks, feels and performs identically to my Proteus Core. No, scratch that, BETTER than my Proteus Core. Except now no more wire wrangling. No more wire catching on the edge of a table or needing to tape it down. Except the sensor is faster and better than my G502PC, and the wireless mouse is somehow LIGHTER than the wired version. What kind of space age magic is this!? When I got it at first, I was actually a little disappointed. I had been excited for this new, fancy mouse that was going to step my game up. But then I got it and it just felt exactly like my old one. It felt like nothing has changed. The wait to use it came to a somewhat anticlimactic end. But then I thought about it and realized..... IT FEELS EXACTLY LIKE MY OLD ONE. I got literally exactly what I loved before, but this time with RGB lighting and no cord! What had I expected? I got literally exactly what I wanted, and it felt like home. And the battery life, of my goodness, the battery life. I've been using this mouse since mid Early/mid-May. I probably use my mouse for about 1 to 4 hours a day, sometimes every other day depending on schedule. I charged this mouse to 100% on my first day of ownership. I haven't charged it since, and my battery currently reads 64%. Incredible. Over a month of regular and consistent use, with lighting on (at about 60-75% brightness, purple) and I haven't even gotten it to half charge. That tells me I've probably got another month or so of battery life to go! I have been BEYOND satisfied with this mouse. I only had one minor hiccup. Initially I put the wireless receiver in the rear of the tower, straight into the motherboard's primary USB 3 port. Unfortunately, I noticed that I would get occasional stuttering and hitching with the mouse cursor. After a bit I noticed that it only happened when my cell phone was on my computer desk in front of my mousepad. I relocated the receiver to the USB3 slot on my Corsair K60 keyboard, problem solved. I haven't had one stutter or hitch since. I think my cell phone's WiFi signal was causing some form of interference. I could reproduce the problem with my cell phone location every time, so I'm confident in what the issue was. BEYOND satisfied with this product. If you have ever used any of the Logitech G502 line - or mice of a similar shape - this product is an absolute NO BRAINER purchase.
