1980年代のSPHINXの太陽モチーフイヤリング。

マットなゴールドトーンメタルの太陽に、独特の表情をたたえた顔が描かれています。仏を思わせる、穏やかでありながらミステリアスな顔に心惹かれるお品。

立体的かつ精巧に作られた顔は横顔まで美しく、つい眺めてしまいます。

動きを感じさせる太陽のシルエットも印象的で、ファンタジックなムードも漂う一品。身に纏えば、思わず視線を集める個性的な佇まいを演出してくれます。

【SPHINX(スフィンクス)とは】
1948年にイギリスで創業したジュエリーカンパニー。まるで本物のジュエリーに見える、高品質で美しいデザインのコスチュームジュエリーを制作していました。自社製品の他にもKenneth Jay Lane、Nina Ricciなどのデザイナーや、ヨーロッパやアメリカの高級デパート向けにジュエリーデザインを手掛けていました。
刻印には"SPHINX"とシリアルナンバー、またはどちらか一方が刻まれましたが、需要を満たすために刻印をせず、急いで出荷していた時期も。会社は1990年代後半に閉業しました。
