A chambered mahogany body starts this Electromatic simply. With it, Gretsch pairs a maple top, resulting in an overall balanced acoustic voice and formidable sonic profile. This combination of chambered mahogany and maple makes this guitar a marvel of lows, mids, and highs. The experience keeps rolling from there with a mahogany neck shaped in a Thin "U" profile. Easily gripped, this neck facilitates quick moves from higher to lower registers.
Alongside its mahogany neck, this Electromatic brings a laurel fingerboard into the fray. This fingerboard measures with a flat twelve-inch radius and is lined with twenty-two Medium Jumbo frets. Providing an easy and familiar feel across the fingers, these frets and fingerboard radius inspire articulate and comfortable fretting spanning the full scale length.
Sonically, this Electromatic Pristine Jet comes alive with two FT-5E Filter'Tron humbucking pickups. Playing with chime and enhanced presence, these humbuckers play with clarity and definition to make for an extremely versatile set of electronics. The electronics configuration goes further with the master volume's treble bleed circuit which retains high end in the signal, even when rolling back on volume. Totally, this Gretsch is a knockout with its sounds.
The hardware setup on this guitar also has quite a bit to write home about. An anchored Adjusto-Matic bridge meets with a Bigsby B50 vibrato tailpiece, ensuring a stable intonation experience while welcoming expressive vibrato string bends while playing. This Gretsch's synthetic bone nut and die-cast sealed tuning machines assist in easy string changes while gold-finished hardware shines and ties the instrument together.
