Why: At ASCENDO, we believe that great cinema sound should disappear — leaving only pure emotion, scale, and immersion. For years, our flagship BLACK SWAN has set the benchmark as a state-of-the-art screen channel speaker, thrilling audiences and integrators alike with its unrivaled performance. But the question kept coming: Could we deliver the same magic, with less depth and no compromise?

That challenge became our mission. We aimed to create a speaker that embodies the BLACK SWAN’s breathtaking dynamics and precision — yet fits into even more demanding spaces. A speaker that looks as good as it sounds. A speaker that makes you forget it’s even there.

How: To achieve this, we went back to the drawing board and pushed the limits of acoustical engineering and materials. We knew the low-crossover waveguide of the BLACK SWAN wouldn’t work in a more compact form—so we reimagined the point source concept from the ground up.

The result is a revolutionary 3-way active design, centered on a 10-inch point source coaxial driver, operating purely as a midrange from 200 Hz upward, coupled to a 3-inch compression driver and a newly developed waveguide for precise, even control of the highs.

For the low frequencies, we engineered a distinctive circular array of six 8-inch woofers in a cardioid configuration, extending down to 55 Hz while minimizing unwanted back energy. The symmetrical, edgeless enclosure ensures flawless on- and off-axis response, eliminating internal and external reflections that could color the sound.

Everything about HALO is designed to perform at the highest level in even the most sensitive listening spaces, delivering sound pressure levels above 136 dB at 1 m with massive headroom, stunning resolution, and effortless dynamics.

What: This is HALO—named for its mysterious circular design and for the way its sound seems to dissolve completely, leaving nothing but the experience.

With dimensions of just 27” H × 30” W × 10” D, HALO occupies remarkably little space for the depth of performance it delivers, making it ideal for high-end home theaters and installations where depth is at a premium.

To simplify integration, HALO is supplied with French cleat wall brackets, allowing secure center or left/right wall mounting with a smooth 0°–15° adjustment.

HALO can be driven by a 3- or 4-channel DSP-controlled amplifier, with recommended power of:
