The new 'Leaf' plant supports have been designed in collaboration with RHS Wisley, these new supports are great for use in both pots and the border. You can read the potted history of the RHS leaf project and see Wisley photo shoot here.

Short Leaf Support 55cm tall
Medium Leaf Support 65cm tall
Tall Leaf Support 88cm tall

The Leaf support is produced as a single unit, a single leaf, which can be assembled and used in the ground, or in pots, as a simple and flexible solution for supporting the stems and foliage of floppy plants. The leaf supports are not joined/fixed together, enabling you to create the forms shown (arranged in 3 leaf forms and 4 leaf forms) and any other arrangement you may prefer (2 leaf forms, 5 leaf forms and so on).

The Leaf supports have been designed to be used as a modular system, offering endless options of leaf groups, forming and extending the support offered to your individual plant support needs. For example, the tall leaf design, can be arranged together in a group, offering a novel new solution for climbing plants, in pots on the patio, or as a feature in the border. See images for leaf grouping ideas.

With three height sizes and two pack sizes, you can create endless options for leaf groups and arrangements, let your imagination decide how best to support your plants.

Growing climbers up and around the Leaf supports is like creating speedy topiary. My current favourite Leaf climber is Sollya the Bluebell Creeper. Try also the patio Clematis and the fabulous, scented Honeysuckle ‘Japonica Aureoreticulata’, with its pretty yellow veined leaves and white fragrant flowers in Summer.

In the borders, try arranging three groups of three Leaf supports together (total 9 x Leaf supports), to support a large swathe of herbaceous perennials. The Leaves also do a great job of supporting tall wayward grasses, like Calamagrostis and my favoured Melica altissima 'Atropurpurea'.

NOTES: The Leaf supports will often arrive silver in colour (just-made) and will transform to the lovely rust finish in situ, with the help of mother nature.

NOTES: In compacted ground the Leaves need only push in to about 5cm-7cm, in loosely prepared soil, compact down best you can before installing the supports. They may need to go in deeper to get more stability. Alternatively you can tie the Leaf legs together if you require more stability.

SHIPPING NOTES: We can send 4 bundles of Leaves for our standard £9.95 parcel charge. The Leaf supports will also fit in parcels with Belles. We will also be able to pack the Leaves with other smaller items. They can not travel with our 'Long' or 'Flat' parcels (Hurdles, large Hoops, Bean Poles, etc.). If you have questions, or wish to add Leaf Supports to an XL parcel, email the request. See 'Delivery info' for our current delivery prices & details.

As seen in the gardens at RHS Wisley. See our RHS blog for details.

Great Lesson for Age 2 and Up
This was our day care's Book of the Month, for children age 2-4 years old. They are all learning to use manners with their peers, at the table and when addressing adults. The lesson took a few readings for the children to understand the point, but once they understood what the various characters WEREN'T doing, therefore getting a negative response from Mr Panda, and what they SHOULD be doing to receive a positive response, the lesson stuck with them. If a child forgets his manners, a hint ("How would you ask Mr Panda?") has good results. This book, while a good story to read aloud, may need some additional explanation by the adult reader at first. Mr Panda offers his friends a treat, and who doesn't like donuts?! When each animal's response is rude or selfish, Mr Panda abruptly withdraws his offer and moves on to someone else. When the final offer is made to a friend who uses his manners, he gets ALL the donuts, because as Mr Panda remarks at the end, he doesn't like donuts anyway. I don't know if this sets up unrealistic expectations, but it's a good lesson presented in an entertaining way.

Please Mr Panda
Format: Board book
This book was my son’s favorite as a kid. I am happy to purchase it once again for a friends little one. It teaches manners while introducing different animals.

Loved by all
Format: Board book
Both of my daughters have loved this book. I bought it initially for my 12 year old (as a toddler) and she adored the different animals voices I would do. Bought it again for my 18 month old and she just giggles and giggles.

Love Mr Panda
Format: Board book
Love this book. My nanny kiddos now remember to say please, though they took it kinda literally and if you don't say please they will refuse you in return, which is good they learn to set their own boundaries! Fun, easy to read, flows, and gives the opportunity to talk about setting boundaries and being polite!

Greatest Book Ever
I have ordered this book over 12 times for baby showers. I love this illustrations and every principal it stands for. Ignore the haters. I think it’s wonderful to instill in children a core foundation of civility in a society that has a proclivity of demanding what they want. I know a few adults who could learn something from this book today.
