Since 1840, the Lumeau family has cultivated their vineyards in Sauveterre de Guyenne, passing down winemaking traditions through eight generations to current proprietor Xavier Lumeau. The 140-hectare estate, certified HVE 3 (High Environmental Value level 3) since 2019, showcases their commitment to sustainable farming with 25 hectares preserved as woodland to protect biodiversity. The distinct Bordeaux terroir, with its temperate maritime climate and gravelly soils, provides ideal conditions for the estate's Merlot, Malbec, and Cabernet Sauvignon vines, which receive minimal phytosanitary treatments in keeping with their eco-responsible philosophy.

Château des Leotins presents an elegant crimson color with purplish highlights and offers delicate aromas of jammy strawberries and red berry fruits. On the palate, this supple, round wine delivers a fresh body supported by silky, velvety tannins that underline fruity notes of blackberry coulis and damson plums. The harmonious balance between ripened fruit and savory structure creates a soft-textured claret with a pleasingly fresh finish. This approachable Bordeaux pairs beautifully with roasted meats, especially beef, chicken, duck, lamb, and pork.
