This Gibson J-45 Standard, featuring an Adirondack red spruce top, is part of an esteemed lineage that only the J-45 can claim. For over eight decades, the Gibson J-45 has remained a cornerstone of the acoustic guitar world, and is coined "the workhorse", famously used by the likes of Elvis Presley and Bob Dylan.
This iteration of the Gibson J-45 Standard features a centerpiece of a gorgeous Adirondack red spruce top, paired with traditional hand-scalloped X-bracing for optimal resonance. A back and sides made from mahogany visually contrast the spruce top, however they work in harmony with it sonically to create robust sound that's recognizable as a J-45 Standard.
Connected via a compound dovetail joint using hot hide glue, a mahogany neck boasts a SlimTaper profile, topped with a stunning, dark rosewood fingerboard with a twelve-inch radius. On this rosewood, twenty Standard frets are divided Mother-of-Pearl Dot inlays. and its total scale length in 24.75 inches.
Whether you prefer the natural resonance of acoustic playing or the power of amplified sound, the J-45 Standard has you covered. Equipped with an L.R. Baggs VTC under-saddle pickup system, this guitar offers a high-fidelity plugged in sound, all controlled by discreet soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls.
