From the Fender Custom Shop, this '52 Telecaster features an ash body and maple neck and fingerboard. Its neck shape is the ever popular "10/56 V" profile, and we have a 7.25-9.5" fretboard radius with Sanko 6105 frets - for a vintage feel with modern enhancements for playability. Interestingly, this '52 features a 3-ply white pickguard as opposed to period correct single ply. This Custom Shop Tele features the Closet Classic relic package. There is body checking throughout, and the neck has been left clean. This guitar also features period correct vintage wiring. In a modern Tele wiring schematic, what would be considered a tone pot is in fact a Blend control, which allows the player to dial in how much of the neck pickup he/she wants with the bridge pickup when in position 3. Position 1 selects the neck pickup with a tone filter, and position 2 selects the neck pickup with tone bypassed. Its 10/56 V neck plays 'till the cows come home, and it sits at a balanced 7 lbs, 8.5 oz for comfortable long durations of playing.
