Cherry, raspberry, and lavender pour out of the glass with a white-pepper snap, backed by spice cake and a whisper of candied licorice on the mid-palate — the kind of clarity you get when Grenache-dominant vines grow on clay-limestone at 300–400 meters in the Dentelles de Montmirail, altitude only 20% of Gigondas can claim. The Faraud sisters farm 17 hectares sustainably across 20 plots, blending 70% Grenache with Syrah, Cinsault, and a trace of Mourvèdre from vines averaging 45 years old. The 2020 was destemmed and aged entirely in old oak foudres; the finish is long, floral, and mineral — bay leaf and Provençal herbs edging in at the end.
