In terms of customization, the TRG 22A1 features top-mounted Picatinny rails on the receiver and forend, which provide plenty of rail space for an optic of choice, as well as clip-on night vision and thermal devices. The forend is also outfitted with multiple M-LOK cut-outs for use with a bipod, and help reduces weight. Other features of the TRG 22A1 include an ergonomically placed ambidextrous safety mechanism that's positioned in the front of the trigger guard, allowing the operator to manipulate the safety with their index finger.
