This Iris Guitar Company AB model comes to us from our friends in Burlington, VT, and is named using the initials of founder Adam Buchwald as its moniker. Launched in 2020, this instrument is the third installment of guitars the company has built.

Modeled from the deep-waisted silhouette of Gibson's iconic J-185, the small jumbo-style body of this guitar boasts a Sitka spruce top, paired with a less usual big leaf maple back and sides. The natural finish of this guitar was a brilliant choice by Iris, as both the top wood and the back and sides tell a story with little interruption by their finish. The big leaf maple's woodgrain paints a gorgeous image on the rear of the guitar, with grain stretching in every direction. The entire body is also surrounded by a tortoise binding, matching the pickguard.

The neck, attached to the body with a bolt-on Mortise & Tenon joint, sports a bone nut with a width of 1-11/16”, and a 25” scale length. On it, a dark, tightly grained Indian rosewood fingerboard features Iris' very small, plastic dot inlays. At the top of the neck, the headstock highlights the Iris logo, as well as Golden Age-style tuning machines for a vintage touch. With no electronics present, the bracing of this guitar is responsible for working with the top, back and sides wood to create a resonant projection that can be heard clearly. In this case, scalloped, Adirondack spruce bracing is in charge of that.

The "open pore " natural nitrocellulose lacquer finish on this guitar allows the wood to project without being choked by its finish, and promises an instrument that will age gracefully. With dimensions including a Body Length of 20-3/8”, Total Length of 41”, Lower Bout of 16-1/8”, Upper Bout of 11-3/8”, Waist of 9-3/8”, and a Depth of 4-5/8”, the AB guitar offers a comfortable and ergonomic playing experience.

Built tough for puppies
Size: Medium, Style: Medium (4 Pack)
These are great, the bright color stands out in grass outdoors they bounce well on hard floors indoors, and they’ve held up well even after a couple weeks of a very chew happy puppy playing with them.

Best ball for retrieving ever
Size: Medium, Style: Medium (4 Pack)
I have been using a ball launcher to exercise my Border Collie. Up till now I have been using the launcher to throw tennis balls. Even with the launcher I can only throw the balls a couple of hundred feet. These balls go MUCH further. I am using a steep horse pasture to throw the balls and I have to make sure that I don't launch them past the fence at the end of the pasture. I think the thing that makes them go further is their weight combined with a smooth surface. They also have incredible bonce. They hit and just shoot way up into the air. Also, the tennis balls I was using were green. In my horse pasture they were easy for the Collie to miss since they blended right in to the grass. These balls with the orange with blue stripes are far easier for the dog to find. It's really hard to tire out a Border Collie but these balls do the job.

Great fun for retrievers
Size: Medium, Style: Medium (4 Pack)
Great durable balls. Use these with or without the thrower. Lab puppy loves to play fetch and these are easy to spot in the yard. Our neighbor has 2 pit bulls who also plays with them. Will buy them again if need be.

Yes!
Size: Medium
Durable. Squeak doesn't last forever with my aggressive chewers but crinkle does. Best balls.
