The PDW Camp Stash Box 400ML is a compact, watertight stainless steel container engineered for the camp kitchen, the trail, and everywhere in between. Built from food-grade 304/18-8 stainless. No BPA, no phthalates, none of the chemical leaching that comes with plastic. It secures your contents behind a double-latch lid lined with a removable silicone gasket. Airtight. Crush-resistant. Sized at 400ML/13.5oz to fit what matters without adding dead weight to the pack.

This box started life with a specific mission: carry three complete sets of s'mores makings for a solo three-day trip. One per night, one backup for when something hits the dirt. The box does its job. The rest is up to you.

Fire Kit

Tinder, fatwood, pine pitch, waterproof matches, a lighter. The watertight seal keeps fire-starting supplies dry regardless of conditions. When you need fire, you need it to work.

Trail Snacks

The double-latch lid is rodent-proof. Squirrels will not be getting in. Food-grade stainless keeps snacks free of plastic off-gassing and the airtight seal keeps them fresher longer than any zip-lock situation you'd otherwise be managing.

First Aid

Sized right for a personal field kit. Keeps contents protected from moisture and compression. Fits a pack hip belt pocket, a glove box, a jacket cargo pocket.

Everything Else

Memory cards, batteries, fishing flies, arrowheads, nocks and inserts, spare keys. If it's small and shouldn't get wet or crushed, it goes in the box.

Construction

304/18-8 stainless body, lid, and latches. Silicone gasket pulls free for top-rack dishwasher cleaning or a hand wash. Stainless doesn't absorb odors or stain. The lid is embossed with a custom PDW campfire graphic; the body carries a laser-etched PDW logo. Designed on the Japanese bento form: maximum interior volume, minimum exterior footprint.

FAQ

What is the PDW Camp Stash Box 400ML made of?

The Camp Stash Box 400ML is constructed from 304 (18-8) food-grade stainless steel, the same alloy used in commercial kitchen equipment. The lid seal is removable food-grade silicone. No plastics are in contact with your food or gear, which means no BPA and no phthalate leaching.

Is the PDW Camp Stash Box actually watertight?

Yes. The lid is sealed by a removable silicone gasket held closed by two independent latches. The construction is watertight and leakproof under normal pack and camp conditions. It is not rated for submersion, but it will keep contents dry in rain, condensation, and pack environments.

How big is the 400ML Camp Stash Box and what fits inside?

The interior measures 114mm x 75mm (4.50" x 2.95") with 54mm of depth. 400ML/13.5oz of usable volume. It holds three complete s'mores sets, a personal first aid kit, a full fire-starting kit (tinder, fatwood, matches), trail snacks for a day, or a dense collection of small EDC items. The 800ML version is available if you need more capacity.

How do you clean the PDW Camp Stash Box?

Remove the silicone lid gasket and place both the box and gasket on the top rack of a dishwasher, or hand wash with soap and water. The gasket pops back into the lid channel when dry. Stainless steel does not absorb odors or stain under normal use.

How does the PDW Camp Stash Box compare to plastic containers or Altoid tins?

Plastic containers leach BPA and phthalates into food over time, especially with temperature cycling common in camping conditions. Altoid tins have no seal, crush under pack pressure, and rust. The Camp Stash Box is crush-resistant 304 (18-8) stainless, sealed airtight, and food-safe with no chemical off-gassing. Reviewers have noted it as a direct upgrade from Altoid tins for snacks, first aid, and small EDC organization.

Can the Camp Stash Box hold fire-starting supplies?

Yes. This is one of its primary design use cases. The watertight seal protects tinder, fatwood, pine pitch resin, and waterproof matches from moisture. 400ML of volume is ample for a complete fire kit for a multi-day trip.

Is there a larger version of the PDW Camp Stash Box?

Yes. The Camp Stash Box 800ML doubles the capacity for trail meals, larger snack loads, or extended kit. Both sizes use the same 304 (18-8) stainless construction, double-latch lid, and removable silicone gasket.

What does the PDW campfire embossing on the lid mean?

It is a custom Prometheus Design Werx graphic, a nod to the campfire as the functional and cultural center of any camp. The body also carries a laser-etched PDW logo. These are marks of provenance on a tool built to be used hard and kept for a long time.

not bad
Format: Kindle
I loved the plot of this book. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth. The connections and “love” just weren’t communicated very well in the writing. The author didn’t write the sweet psycho trope very well at all either. Lachlan was just a mess of a character.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Good start to a series
Format: Kindle
I delayed reading the series for reasons I don’t remember. But my TBR list is huge so I thought I’d take a shot of this and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think the blurb about it was anything special. But it was a very good book. It took some interesting twists and turns. I am so glad the second book is already out. Because I would not have waited patiently. Very slow burn but good storyline. 🔥🔥/5
