A post box can be not only a simple post box but a masterpiece which decorates your house and outlines your exterior features.
Here is a hand made forged metal post box in a view of a bird (stork/heron). It is for outdoor placing. It is water proof, made from sturdy metal, which is perfect for outdoor use. It will decorate your exterior. The bird stays on a metal plate. Two legs of the bird are fixed with screws to this metal sheet. Under the metal sheet there are 4 metal bars with screws (20 cm) be fixed with the metal sheet. You put these four metal bars into cement for stabilizing the bird. It is easy to cement it.
In the right wing of the bird there is a metal oval box which is serviced as the post box, it is completely hidden behind the wing in the bird's body. You drop letters into a special slot in the wing which has a movable cover in a view of feathers. In order to pick up the letters from it you need to pull the right wing and just simply pick up the letters/newspapers. The rims of the wings are painted with some silver colour. The legs and beak are painted in copper colour.

There is a set of keys to lock it.

Length (of a slot) 26 cm (10.24") and the length of the internal box is about 28 cm (11.03")

The post box inside the bird has some oval form repeating the oval form of the bird's body.

It is painted in three layers: prime paint (anti-rust), black paint and decorative paint (patina). It is water proof.

The sizes and colours can differ from a piece to a piece since it is hand forged. Each feather of the bird was done manually.

A nice present for a wedding, birthday, Mother's Day, on the occasion of moving into a new house, some other occasions or just a house exterior decor!

WAY OF PRODUCTION:
The way how it was created: we combine traditional blacksmith techniques, perfected over hundreds of years of experimentation and development , with modern forms and methods to produce beautifully distinct pieces of functional art. Each piece is forged at extremely high temperature and hammered by hand. Pliable when glowing hot, the iron is shaped into graceful, flowing forms. In our world of high technology, there is a distinct place for organic forms and hand-wrought metal design elements.

Custom orders are welcome (different colour, size, content, post box placing (left wing/right wing), other type of the bird ...) - different variations can be limited only by your imagination.

It is produced to order. I do not keep it available for immediate sending. Time of production: 1 month. It is a high quality work. Only a gifted blacksmith can do such a delicate work. Each piece of the bird was hand made.
