Recently I was having a chat to the guy who takes care of my garden, and I asked him if he had a will. He replied “never got around to it. It all seems too much trouble. ” I responded, “you’ve been married before haven’t you –and don’t you have any children from that relationship?” He said yes to both questions. He got a shock when I told him that according to the laws of intestacy the previous family may get a bigger share of his money than he would like if he died without a valid will.
Estate planning is a massive topic because it covers such a myriad of issues, many of which are uncertain. It’s not just the interplay of important topics such as tax, superannuation and Centrelink — the estate planning laws differ from state to state.
To this heady mix we add the many facets of human psychology. Many people just don’t get around to making a will, and even if they do, there are the other challenges of choosing an appropriate executor and handling the competing interests of family members. There are further complications due to the number of people living longer and re-partnering later in life, and also the possibility of diminishing mental capacity.

A love story starring a fictional USWNT player?! I was sold. The writing was flowed and never took me out of the story. The characters felt pretty real, which is always appreciated. The details of the soccer world made me smile. It made my heart happy to read about this fictional player finding love. Stans of couples in the USWNT and NWSL will adore Willa and Sage's cuteness. Overall, very enjoyable and would highly recommend💜

This was a great read, light and airy with just enough tension and angst to keep me glued. Both mains are authentic and brazen but in completely different ways. Loved the characterization and growth of each woman. Definitely give this one a go!

The Trans Issue
Format: Paperback
I couldn't give a higher rating because of the writer pushing trans issue in sports. All for anyone in sports however, when it is man to woman the deck is stacked. Not to mention they are on hormones , which is a drug. Any questions: US had a trans win gold in track and Canada won bronze in soccer, how do you think those women felt. IMO this is just the beginning, what do they need natural born women for. It's so wrong on so many levels for women. I You tubed it and MEN are speaking up for women, why aren't we doing it for ourselves.
Back to the book in question, I'm just not objective enough to say more.

The strength of women and their strength of character
Format: Kindle
Willa and Sage began an unconventional relationship yet completed their journey in love. I loved the characters and plot of this book. I was inspired by Sage’s strength to defend Willa from the jabs of an aggressive friend, Ava. It was wonderful watching Ava grow even though she was a secondary character. That Sage remembered Rebecca’s plight and commit herself to a legacy of providing soccer camps for girls and trans players was incredible. A truly inspiring story. I heartily recommend this book and any others by this author.
I love the way she writes and how she allows us to tag along with the journeys of her well developed characters and plot.
I’m looking forward to more of her works. Thank you

Poetry, Lyric, and the Mind of a Scholar
Format: Paperback
The first essay on the lyric is necessary reading for any poet.
The whole book is excellent reading, often on the Appalachian writers. Excellent resource for scholars and casual readers. Highly recommend. Somehow the essays are both intimate and deeply theoretical. Powerful display of Jesse Grave's scope of thinking.
