Maton ER90 Traditional - 17181

The ER90 Traditional is the outcome of combining three inspirational sources, the ER90C, the 75th Anniversary Traditional model and the Custom Shop CS Classic.

The Traditional and CS Classic model designs originated in the Custom Shop. Their body shape is more akin to our OM Orchestra Model design. Here's the description direct from the Maton workshop:

"It incorporates the bracing and design elements of the 75th Traditional, along with the rosewood back and sides and satin finish of the ER90C and the thinner body depth of the CS Classic.

The result is a small-bodied guitar with a full tonal response that rings like a bell. There is no lack of bass due to the thinner body depth (the body is 10mm thinner than the 75th Anniversary body) as the depth is offset by the incredible rich bass produced by the rosewood back and sides. The reduced body depth also provides a little more focus in front of the guitar which will make it a brilliant recording instrument.

Visually, the ER90 Traditional has borrowed its look from its older brother the ER90C, which includes multi-banded inner binding, white outer binding, a mahogany neck, streaky ebony fingerboard and bridge, and a streaky ebony headstock veneer. The mahogany neck provides tone and stability and the ebony board and bridge add a little top-end brightness to complement the rich bass of the rosewood back and sides.

The top bracing is fully scalloped and includes the laser cut bridge plate originally developed for the 75th Anniversary model, designed to increase strength without adding weight.

This is a wonderful guitar that will suit all styles of playing, from light fingerstyle to full-blown strumming, and of course, it is fitted with Maton's brilliant AP5 Pro pickup system which will make the ER90 Traditional absolutely unbeatable on stage..."

The Maton AP5-Pro Electronics

In its 5th generation, the AP5 Pro features an internal Microphone and 6-Piezo bridge input, with controls that allow for blending of both microphone and piezo levels prior to sending the actively combined signals through the well engineered pre-amp.

The highly selective cardioid microphone system allows for much greater microphone level before feedback in live environments. This upgraded AP5-Pro microphone is direct mounted to the pre-amp casing with an adjustable arm, which permits easy final tweaking of microphone position to suit the individual artist's playing style.

Using the ‘Sweep-able Mid’ controls. Mid-range is sweep-able from 600Hz to 2.4kHz and can be cut or boosted within this range. As a general rule we start out with all settings ‘flat’ then alter them to achieve the desired tone & presence based on the venue or recording environment. For example, an open, natural sound can be achieved by setting the frequency control at 1.4khz and the boost/cut control at 5db. Alternatively, for a ‘thick’ lead sound boost your Mid's by 5db and set the frequency dial at 1.7kh.

so elegant but best for softer foods
Color: Gold, Color: Gold
I am impressed with this gold silverware. I was surprised because they are very light, but they are also elegant. The handles are a little longer than the usual plasticware, so holding them, using them to eat, made me feel like the meal was elevated. These would be perfect at a garden party, a brunch, a fancy picnic. I love that there are equal numbers of knives, forks, and spoons, and they would look beautiful at place settings, or just tossed into glasses for people to grab what they need. My one misgiving about recommending these for any occasion is the knife. It’s just not sharp, and like the other pieces, it is lightweight. It’s great for spreading butter onto a roll and could cut through soft foods like pasta or cake. But any attempt to cut through a piece of meat or a starchy vegetable that’s just lightly cooked will result in the knife snapping in half. But if you’re serving relatively soft foods (brunch would be perfect!), then this is an elegant, easy solution to feed a lot of people while keeping cleanup to a minimum.

Fancy enough for a wedding, easy enough for a backyard party
Color: Gold, Color: Gold
I picked up this 300 Pack Premium Heavy Duty Gold Plastic Silverware set for a recent gathering, and honestly it worked out better than I expected. When you’re hosting a larger group, the last thing you want to worry about is running out of utensils or washing a mountain of dishes afterward, and this set definitely helped with that. First off, the 300-piece set is really convenient. You get 100 forks, 100 spoons, and 100 knives, which made it easy to plan for about 100 guests without having to buy multiple packs. Everything arrived neatly organized in a clear storage box, which actually made it super easy to keep things tidy until party time. The gold metallic finish is surprisingly nice. It gave the table a more polished, elegant look than standard plastic cutlery. I used them for a semi-formal dinner setup, and they blended in well with the decorations instead of looking cheap or out of place. As for durability, they’re definitely heavier than typical disposable utensils. The forks handled pasta and salads just fine, and the knives worked well for softer foods like chicken and cake. They’re not quite the same as real metal silverware, of course, but for plastic they’re pretty sturdy and didn’t snap or bend easily. I also appreciated that they’re BPA-free and disposable, which made cleanup incredibly simple once everything wrapped up. The only small downside is that if you’re cutting tougher foods like steak, you might notice the knives aren’t quite strong enough for that. But for most party foods, buffets, and desserts, they work perfectly well. Overall, this is a great option for parties, weddings, or large dinners when you want something that looks nicer than basic plastic but still want the convenience of disposable utensils. I’d definitely use them again for future events.
