Description:
The new book by prize-winning biographer Evelyn Juers, author of The House of Exile and The Recluse, portrays the life and background of a pioneering Australian dancer who died at the age of twenty-five in a remote town in India.
A uniquely talented dancer and choreographer, Philippa Cullen grew up in Australia in the 1950s and 60s. In the 1970s, driven by the idea of dancing her own music, she was at the forefront of the new electronic music movement, working internationally with performers, avant-garde composers, engineers and mathematicians to build and experiment with theremins and movement-sensitive floors, which she called body-instruments. She had a unique sense of purpose, read widely, travelled the world, and danced at opera houses, art galleries and festivals, on streets and bridges, trains, clifftops, rooftops. She wrote, I would define dance as an outer manifestation of inner energy in an articulation more lucid than language. An embodiment of the artistic aspirations of her age, she died alone in a remote hill town in southern India in 1975.
With detailed reference to Cullen’s personal papers and the recollections of those who knew her, and with her characteristic flair for drawing connections to bring in larger perspectives, Evelyn Juers’ The Dancer is at once an intimate and wide-ranging biography, a portrait of the artist as a young woman.
'Dead in 1975 at 25 years old, the Australian avant-garde dancer, teacher and artist Philippa Cullen lived a tragically short life. And yet, at the time, her artistic activity cast a long

34 DD approved
Color: Dark Beige, Size: 34DD
This is the first wired bra I’ve worn in years and also generally just my new favorite bra. I have breast hypertrophy and after 2 breast reductions and years of gravity, they’ll find a way to spill out of any cup and slip under any wire. The second I put this bra on I immediately felt weight off my back. The wires feel actually supportive instead of restrictive and my chest settled right into the cups smoothly and comfortably. As opposed to relying on padding (which makes me so sweaty), the construction and fabric do all the heavy lifting which makes me feel supported while still staying cool

SO very comfortable and supportive, but can't get the four hooks hooked in the back.
Color: Light Beige, Size: 44DD
I measured myself as described in listing and ordered 44dd based on that. The bra fits just right. It is super smooth and soft fabric and VERY comfortable! I especially like that it holds in the side boobs and the underwire does not poke out. I don't think I have ever had a bra before that actually stayed up on the sides! Maybe I have been wearing the wrong size?? I was skeptical and bought because of the free returns, but I am keep this one and one other style which is just as comfortable. THE ONLY THING WRONG AND THEREFORE 4 STARS is that I cannot hook the backs (4 hooks). The other one I bought was doable but with effort, this on I absolutely could not do and had to hook in the front and slide around. I don't know if there a fix for this but I will keep them because they are so dang comfy and supportive. And yes, they do minimize which is also wonderful for me!

Fits like a $100 bra
Color: Black, Size: 36H
I don’t know why HSIA bras are so comfortable. The underwire does not dig in. This is the third one I’ve purchased. This bra has a pretty lace pattern. I love it. Highly recommend.

Great bra!
Color: Dark Beige, Size: 38D
I have several different bras from this brand. This is a really good minimizer. It has a nice wide strap. I don’t love the clasp as it is covered in a hard material, but overall it is a good bra that you can wear all day under form fitting shirts.

Uncomfortable
Color: Light Beige, Size: 38DD
In my search for a comfortable well-fitting bra, I came across this one. Reviews were good, so I ordered one. Half way through the day, I had to take it off. This is the most uncomfortable bra ever. This one went on to the "uncomfortable pile" pretty quick
Not full coverage and not supportive. Side coverage is pretty good but straps are thin and do not lift.
