We created these NerdyKeppie exclusive designs for "Historically Queer: LGBTQIA+ Historical Figure Enamel Pins", our 2023 Kickstarter. Each pin measures 1.75 inches across and features a queer historical figure, surrounded by flowers in appropriate flag colors. 

One of the most prolific ancient poets, many of her poems seem to have been deliberately destroyed -- some fragments were found being used as stoppers for wine bottles -- but her love for other women is so eloquently expressed that her name, and the name of her home, the Isle of Lesbos, have become synonymous with queer love for women. 

Sappho holds a wax tablet commonly used for composition and is surrounded by the plants from that poetry fragment - crocus, violet, roses and dill. She wears richly-dyed clothing and jewelry which match her family's wealthy background. 

As a lesbian themself, Spider has chosen the flag they feel most comfortable with, the Sapphic/Inclusive Lesbian/Lesbian Flag For Everyone, based on a poetry fragment of Sappho's. Sappho is also available in bisexual or rainbow pride colors.
