As not only one of solid state's great achievements but as one of rock guitar's great amps bar none, the Beta Lead legacy extends into today with an inventive design and a delectable tone made for cleans, heat, breakup, dirt, distortion and just about everything in between.
The Sunn Beta Lead has cultivated quite a reputation for a reason. A favorite of the likes of guitarists like Kurt Cobain and Buzz Osbourne, the Beta Lead has gone on to earn a name for itself for incredibly inspiring broken-up and clean tones alike with its tubeless design acting as a feature rather than a bug. Centrally, two independent amp channels feature two independent inputs with three-band EQs, level, drive, and reverb controls that can be swapped between or blended together with the amp's included footswitch. Sunn's analog MOSFET design produces a vast landscape of tones that hit shimmery cleans to crispy drives to pseudo-fuzz distortions. A step further, built-in FX loops on each channel allow for inventive integration of effects into the solid state signal flow where amp-born distortion proves crucial.
