Cortec®'s Cooling Loop Gator® is a Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibitor powder packaged in polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) water-soluble bags. Developed for seasonal, short-term or long-term layup, it protects enclosed spaces for up to 12 months. Once the bag and powder dissolve, the VCIs adsorbs on all metal surfaces, reaching recessed areas and interior cavities. It is non-hazardous and compatible with the majority of commercially available biocides and antiscalants. The product does not need to be removed prior to startup, reducing environmental hazard and disposal problems.

Packaging:
Cooling Loop Gator® is available in 2.2 lb (1 kg) bags, four bags per box. Dimensions: 10"x14". Available with or without Molybdate Tracer (MF version).

How to Use:
One Cooling Loop Gator® treats 250 gallons (0.95 m3) of water. Remove and discard outer bag. Add the water-soluble bags directly into the cooling water. Recirculate treated water for 12-24 hours to obtain a good protective layer before shutdown. Either drain or leave the treated water in the cooling tower. After application, all valves should be covered, closed and shut off.

Typical Applications:
Use Cooling Loop Gator® to prevent rust on cooling towers during layup for up to 12 months. Provides corrosion protection for multimetals, including galvanized steel and yellow metals (copper, brass).
