Cortec®'s Boiler Lizard® contains Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibitor powder in a polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) water-soluble bag. The powder formulation is free of phosphates, heavy metals, nitrites and free amines. Designed for dry layup of boilers, it protects metals in enclosed spaces. The VCIs vaporize and adsorb on the metal surfaces, reaching all recessed areas and interior cavities. Boiler Lizard® has NSF G7 certification (Reg. #170844) and can be used in and around food processing areas if the treated water or steam has no food contact.

Packaging:
Boiler Lizards are supplied in carton tubes (1 bag per tube). Tube is 3"D x 37"H. Bag is 4"W x 34"H.

How to Use:
Completely drain and cool boiler down. Remove from outer packaging. Place Boiler Lizard® flat in boiler and slit open the inner water-soluble bag to begin total corrosion protection. Slit 2" from one end to 2" from the other end. Seal all openings to the boiler internals. No product or inner bag removal needed prior to boiler start-up. When the boiler is put back in service, fill with water and follow normal startup procedure. The inner PVA bag will dissolve. Do not user on copper, copper-based alloys and other soft yellow metals. Compatibility with non-metallics should be evaluated. Caking of powder may occur when it is exposed to moisture and then dried.

Typical Applications:
Use Boiler Lizard® for dry layup of mid-size boilers. Provides continuous rust prevention during dry layup period of up to 12 months. It can be used together with Boiler Egg™ to scavenge dissolved oxygen and passivate metal Eliminates the need for other forms of protection including nitrogen blankets, quicklime or silica gel desiccants, and dry air circulation.

Great shoe, horrible lace design.

This shoes look great and the materials for the actual shoe feel great. They run a little big that doesn't bother me. Unfortunately, the lace design is horrible. I've now have 2 pairs of these shoes and both times the bottom lace has ripped out of the stitching. The first time was on the 2nd day I wore them, and the replacement pair to those it happened after I walked 20 feet. Both times I've tied a knot in the bottom lace so that I could get through the day. Ideally these laces should be connected together and not attached to the shoe (this is how both of my Skechers Slip-ins are designed). Because I like the rest of the shoe so much I'm buying elastic laces to replace the horrible original laces.

Step In Look Good
