ABOUT AUTHOR
Dr. Jackie McKool has been passionate about wholistic health and wellness since God delivered her in 1996 from an addiction to alcohol and the whole bar life. He pulled her out of the miry clay and set her feet on a new path—a wholistic path of health and healing. She believes with all her heart and soul that God has called her to speak, teach, and write with the purpose of revealing the truths about our health and glorifying Him.
Dr. McKool spent 10 years in the wholistic health and wellness field as a chiropractic physician in Charleston, South Carolina. She obtained her post-doctorate degree in Internal Disorders, allowing her to practice as a functional medicine practitioner. Upon moving to North Carolina, Dr. McKool worked in the natural products industry in several health food stores for three years.
She is a certified speaker, trainer and coach with the John Maxwell Team and has been a member of Toastmasters International since 2010, and has spoken to thousands of people over the years on how to achieve greater health. She is in her “sweet spot” when she is speaking and encouraging others along their health journey.
Dr. Jackie has served as a trained minister for several Christian healing ministries, including Cleansing Stream founded by Pastor Jack Hayford, and the International Healing Rooms Ministries founded by Rev. Cal Pierce. She has also studied under Dr. Mark Virkler, founder of Christian Leadership University and Communion with God Ministries. Dr. Virkler is also the author of “4 Keys to Hearing God’s Voice.”
In addition to wholistic health and wellness, Dr. Jackie loves being in God’s creation outdoors. She claims she was “born to be outside!” She loves jogging, hiking, biking, kayaking, and most of all backpacking. At the age of 65 she recently completed her 11-year journey of backpacking the Appalachian Trail (AT), a 2,200 mile long foot trail by summitting Mt. Katahdin on August 11th, 2024. Look for her next book that is already brewing pertaining to her adventures on the AT!
