In this drawing I wanted to capture the long, dappled shadows cast in truffle woodland in the late summer. The trees still hold their leaves but there is a hint of Autumn in the air. Here we see two dogs  with their noses to the ground, enjoying the array of organic scents as they seek elusive truffles hidden beneath the leaf litter. 

Having concentrated on the mediums of oil and charcoal for decades, I have recently discovered the joy of working with soft pastel. When applied to an appropriate good quality pastel board, the glorious colours and texture of the medium enable me to describe the curly, wool coat of lagotto Romagnolo. This limited edition giclee print is a reproduction from one of my recently completed series of original pastel drawings. The quality of these prints is so exceptional that it is difficult to distinguish between the originals and the reproductions.

 Each print comes with a Certificate of Authenticity that confirms that the print has been produced by a Fine Art Trade Guild approved Printmaker and states the unique edition number of the individual prints.

I chose a beautiful quality, German Etching 310gsm printing paper that has a slight texture to it and I am thrilled with the end results. 

The image size is 56.4 x 38 cm and the paper size is 42 x 59.4 cm. 

Each print comes in a cellophane sleeve and a backing board and, if shipped, will be protected within a durable, ridged cardboard box. 

The prints are unframed.
