Black Walnut Board BW429 0.6" x 3.8" x 27.6"Black Walnut Board BW429 0. 6" x 3. 8" x 27. 6" 1. 4 lbs. This is a nice uniform board of S4S Texas grown Black Walnut. It is all heartwood. The colors are an overall medium brown with bands of darker brown grain. There are a number of small, closed knots that give a pretty swirl to the grain and a bit of chatoyance. This piece has been air dried to 10 12% moisture content. I see no cracks or checks. There are a couple of minor dents along one edge.

Too Tight but It Works
It doesn't really sit on very well to be honest, it tends to sit TOO tight in my opinion. Taking it off can be a hassle but at least it gets the job done, durability is good, finish is great, obviously easy to use.
