Toru Shimizu was born in 1938 Toyama prefecture.
He was a self-taught hanga artist. His style is detailed and descriptive.
Series of prints include, "Snow Country (Yukiguni) 1971, Four Seasons in Japan (Nihon no Shiki) 1973-74, Autumn in Paris (Pari no Aki) 1974.

Very few works by him appeared online, but the designs are exquisite.
Silkscreen print. The print is marked as hanga 版画 (lower right corner), and signed in pencil "Tohoru Shimizu".
