Designed as a tribute to the Maton founder, Bill May, and to bring the best of Maton's heritage and their guitar-making skills together, the W.A. May is a guitar for the connoisseur. This guitar features a gorgeous fiddleback Blackwood back and side set with a blackwood neck and AAA spruce face to produce a huge-sounding 808 guitar. Add to that the unique Custom Shop voicing and craftsmanship and you have a guitar worthy of the name W.A. May.

This W.A. May Custom Shop is equipped with the AP5 Pro Pickup system. The AP5 Pro features Separate Microphone and Piezo input controls allow for blending of both microphone and piezo levels prior to sending the actively combined signals through to the tone circuits and master volume. A highly selective cardioid microphone system allows for a much greater microphone level before feedback in live environments. This newly upgraded microphone is direct mounted to the preamp casing via an adjustable arm, which permits easy final tweaking of the microphone position to suit the individual artist's style.

This Pre-Owned Maton Custom Shop WA May 808 2020 is in Excellent Condition w/ a professionally repaired crack near the pre-amp on the top side. Besides that, there is only some light sanding marks around the repaired crack.
