New Zealand Flag
This premium New Zealand Flag is fully sewn and appliqued, not printed. The Union Jack and the four red stars of the Southern Cross are stitched onto a deep blue field for a traditional finish. It is made for outdoor flying and suits homes, clubs, schools, and commercial flagpoles.
Traditional Construction
Each flag is made to handle real outdoor use with double stitched hems, reinforced corners, and heavy duty woven bunting. This construction helps the flag hold shape in wind and keep its stitching strong over time.
History of the New Zealand Flag
The New Zealand flag design is based on the Blue Ensign. It features the Union Jack to reflect historic ties and the Southern Cross to represent New Zealand’s place in the South Pacific. The modern design was adopted in the early 1900s and has remained a recognised national symbol ever since.
