Product Description

Blauberg Calm is a unique range of contemporary extractor fans that offer significant advantages over traditional ventilators designed for the home. Our Calm extractor fan range delivers higher airflow rates and less noise because of the way it has been designed. In addition, Calm extractor fans are offered in a range of colours that will fit any modern bathroom, kitchen or wet room. It will also suit a more traditional style.
Blauberg Calm is Building Regulation Part F and L compliant and can be mounted within zone 1 and 2 of a bathroom, shower or sink area. The fitted shutter ensures that back draughts are kept to a minimum when the fan is not in use without the need for an external shutter or draught excluder. There are plenty of control options to choose from depending on your needs from simple 2-wire pull cord operation, humidity and damp control options, to fully automatic PIR movement detection.

Controls & Wiring

This CALM 125 H fan is fitted with a built-in humidity sensor & run-on timer. Two small knobs are mounted inside the fan and can be used to adjust the run on time from 2 to 30 minutes and the relative humidity level. The electrical supply is normally provided from your household lighting circuit and the fan will require a live, switched live & neutral connections.
If the run on timer is not required, a short link can be made from L to LT terminals.
Please ensure that you are a competent person or consult a qualified electrician for any advise required.

Bathroom Zones 1 & 2 Explained

Normally, extra care is needed when selecting extractor fans for bathroom and shower rooms as the areas around them normally require SELV (safety extra low voltage) fans with 12v transformers. For ventilation purposes, these sensitive areas are called Bathroom Zones 1 & 2.
This is to ensure that the risk of electric shock is kept to a minimum. However, as Blauberg Calm extractor fans have a high IP rating (IP45), SELV 12v extractor fans are not required. All that is needed is to ensure that your Calm extractor fan is connected to an RCD (residual current devise). If in doubt, any qualified electrician can explain what is required to meet current regulations or feel free to contact us for further advice.

Amazingly soft and beautifully made!

I was on the fence about purchasing this blanket as I was looking at other options and having trouble deciding. I ended up taking a chance on this one and I'm very happy with the result. This blanket is exceptionally soft and will keep you toasty warm. I keep mine at the end of my bed. It adds a cozy aesthetic to my bedroom. To put it simply, this blanket is both functional and beautiful. Mine arrived in a air-sealed bag, but it fluffed right up the moment I opened the bag. I decided to wash mine before using it, however, it did not have any unpleasant smell that made me do so. My only reason for washing it is because I have allergies and sensitive skin, and it was more a precaution than anything else. Regardless, it washed up nicely and even after coming straight out of the washer was still fluffy and soft. If you also decide to wash your blanket, DO NOT put it in the dryer. You will absolutely ruin the faux fur if you do. I hung mine up on the staircase banister to dry overnight and it was ready to toss on my bed the next morning. What I'm super impressed about with this blanket is that I haven't experienced any shedding whatsoever. I haven't found fur on my bed, there was no fur in the washer, nor have I found any tufts of fur after dragging it back and forth from my bedroom to the living room. It's a quality blanket that looks exactly like the more expensive name brand ones, but without the hefty price tag. I'd also like to note that my cat LOVES laying on it. I'm going to order a smaller one specifically for him to put in the living room on his bed.

Absolutely obsessed with these! I've literally bought 7 of them, in various colors and sizes and they are all gorgeous and luxurious! I won one of the name brand blankets like this at my work Christmas party. This is a great gift for someone, or just to jazz up your bed or sofa!

could be improved but great for price

I have a faux fur throw from bedsure and I wanted one in a queen size as a blanket. Sadly, the bedsure company doesn't make one large enough, so I bought this one. It is thinner than the bedsure, definitely. The velvety backing is thinner and so is the fur itself. And like people say, the back and front layers are not attached. I haven't washed it b/c I decided to return it. I think for the price, tho, it's pretty adorable. If you're using this as a decorative cover -- it's totally worth it. The purple rainbow has very pretty muted colours, with splotches of bolder colour in some sections. I actually like that, and think it would make a charming gift for a young girl. It wasn't quite what I wanted, but I do think for this price point it's lovely. Very soft, does have a nice weight to is, and can function as a blanket if you've got something else underneath. I do think the manufacturer ought to attach the layers (the bedsure one has layers attached!) -- that won't really cost more, and it'll fix many people's complaints.
