A long-favored electric guitar for decades and generations, the Gibson SG Standard is back and better than ever. As part of the Gibson Modern Collection, this SG Standard is a return to classic form with playability and features sure to please players of all ages.

The Gibson SG has been immortalized in history by some of the fiercest guitar players to pick up the axe. Having been played through the years by the likes of Carlos Santana, Pete Townshend, Judas Priest’s Glenn Tipton, perhaps most famously by Angus Young, and perhaps most dynamically by Derek Trucks, the SG Standard has a legacy of being one of the most chosen weapons for battle. If it could talk, it might simply say: “I rock.”

The SG Standard offered in the Modern Collection is styled after SG variants of the later half of the 1960s. Most notably, this SG model features the “full face” black pickguard and a darker Heritage Cherry finish. Key features include a solid Mahogany body, Mahogany neck with rounded profile, and a bound Rosewood fingerboard with 12” radius and 22 Medium Jumbo frets. If you prefer an SG with a slightly thicker neck profile than the slim profile many are known for, try putting this one in your hands.

The SG Standard is loaded with Gibson 490R and 490T pickups, which feature Alnico 2 magnets, known for having a little less bite than Alnico 5 (i.e. Burstbuckers) and were utilized as magnets in pickups of 1950s Gibsons. Like all classic SGs, this model features two volume and two tone controls, without push/pull coil split options found on SGs of the recent past - a long requested feature by many Gibson players over the years. Keep it simple, they said!

Rounding off this Gibson SG are Grover Rotomatic tuners and Tune-o-Matic bridge. This guitar comes ready to travel lightly in a padded Gibson soft shell case. The only thing left to ask is: Are you ready to rock?

  • Mahogany Body and Neck
  • Bound Rosewood Fretboard with Eye-Catching Acrylic Trapezoid Inlays
  • Classic SG Body Shape for Timeless Appeal
  • Gibson 490T & 490R Pickups with Vintage-Styled Output
  • Rounded Neck Profile for Comfortable Play
  • Dependable Grover Rotomatic Tuning Machines
  • Stable Tune-o-Matic Bridge
  • Finished in Rich Heritage Cherry with Gibson Softshell Case

Made well
Size: (Pack of 1)
I just put it in but fits nice, good quality and I expect it to work very good. I watch many YouTube channels with experienced mechanics. Many of them use six products.

It was ok.
Size: (Pack of 1)
The product installed fine and the price was good. However, it took too long to arrive. I don't know why it took almost three weeks to get to my house. I was about to cancel the order.

I really like these filters. This is the brand I try to use, unless they're unavailable. Fast shipping and a great product. Easy to install. Great value for the money. Not driving it is the only thing that helps the gas mileage. Shipped by Amazon. Box damaged during shipping. The air filter was placed in the bottom of the box and 5 lbs of honey, 1 case (12 cans) of sardines and another item were placed on top of the air filter inside the box. The 5 lbs of honey is in a plastic 1/2 gallon bottle with bubble wrap tapped around the lid/cap. All items ship from Amazon. There was NO padding or filler in the box. Fortunately, none of the 4 items were not damaged or covered in honey. This has become a very serious issue with Amazon orders. This isn't the 1st time I've received my order and the box was as about to come apart. If I have to return something to Amazon, it's about a 75 mile round trip to the nearest UPS store. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!

Great quality. Worth a few bucks more
Size: (Pack of 1)
My 2004 Ram baby deserves the best especially when it’s like 5 bucks more for a good quality air filter that’s gonna be on the truck for 30/40 k miles. Don’t replace every 15K, that’s quick lube sales talk.. only if you live in a dust bowl.
