Inspired by the santoku bukuro—a traditional Japanese cloth bag made by folding and sewing a single piece of fabric—this version is both charming and durable. Once used for carrying everyday essentials, the Santoku Bag brings the spirit of Japanese handcraft into modern daily life.

The name santoku bukuro translates to “three benefits pouch” or “three-purpose bag.” With roots in the Edo period (1603–1868), these simple yet clever pouches were commonly used to carry small personal items in daily life.

The medium-size pouches are perfectly sized to fit a passport and other small items such as keys, cosmetics, and more.

This design [E] features the Uroko-sashi pattern which refers to a traditional sashiko pattern made up of repeating triangular shapes that resemble fish or snake scales.
