The only name that fit this collaboration was that of the landmark book by the great jazz drummer Art Taylor.  Muggs complimented Chris's wine with music that he and Egon sourced and cleared from the landmark catalog of the cosmic jazz musician Sun Ra.  A Soul Assassins x Now-Again x Broc Cellars collaboration.

Notes & Tones first bottling was the 2020 vintage, and it was released in 2023. It represented a multi-year journey that Muggs and Egon embarked on with Northern California’s Broc Cellars and its winemaker Chris Brockway. The bottles were released alongside a limited run of Notes & Tones album.
