Daniel and Jonas Brand are fifth generation winemakers in Bockenheim in Germany's Palatinate region. The optimal climatic conditions at the start of the Weinstraße give rise to healthy and juicy grapes growing in natural equilibrium, producing wines full of character and of genuine organic quality. Plant-based products like herbal extracts or tea are used to strengthen the vines; clover and wild herbs attract bees and other useful insects to the sites. This creates a greater variety of species and makes the vineyards more vigorous, ensuring the grounds stay healthy and fertile.

This incredible orange wine is essentially a skin contact version of Brand's much loved Wilder Satz - fun, fruity and fleshy, with notes of tropical fruit and no added sulphur. Grapes were macerated for two weeks with direct press Pinot Noir juice added to help balance between the skins and juice. Punched down daily, it was pressed as soon as the winemakers could taste the bitterness indicating tannic extraction, separately in stainless steel before blending and assembling shortly before bottling.
