This ’57 Les Paul Special Single Cut is built with the modern-day functionality in mind, while staying true to the guitar’s origin story. Designed by going over its vintage predecessors with a fine-tooth comb and applying a dash of current build practices and innovation, Gibson Custom has provided us with an authentic Les Paul Special experience, sonically and visually.

A TV Yellow finish and a Les Paul Special go hand-in-hand. It is a timeless pairing that has helped define the visual aspect of rock and roll guitar playing. This guitar features a VOS Nitrocellulose lacquer finish. It is thin, breathable, and bears a “vintage patina” right from the factory. Its all solid mahogany body and neck are well balanced and comfortable to play in any setting. Two Custom Soapbar P-90 pickups are wired to spit out soaring solos or rhythmic patterns that can either sit perfectly in the mix, or jump out into the crowd, all dependent on your preference. High quality CTS 500K Pots and Paper-in-Oil Caps sit underneath the hood, aiding this guitar’s tonal clarity and versatility. A chunky C neck with Indian Rosewood board on top allows for premium playability, whether you are comping chords or taking the lead.
