The Alkene is the product of one of Browne's longest-running passion projects. Browne's Protein dual overdrive utilizes a double-barreled drive design – one of those barrels loaded with a green, "screamer" style Nashville overdrive. Internally, the Alkene features controls for expanding its horizons even further. Switches for higher clipping and bass cutting adds an element of finer tuning to the Alkene that keeps things simple and inspirational from the word "go" without bogging down the process.
