Pecan Block P483 2.7" x 2.7" x 9.3" 1.7 lbs. This is an attractive end-grain block of lightly spalted Texas-grown Pecan wood. It has a soft tan color. The wood grain has a pleasant and gracefully flowing pattern. This piece was taken from a branch and includes the branch pith. On one end it is solid through-and-through; the other end has some minor radial pith cracks. You may wish to seal these with CA glue prior to turning. This block has been air-dried to 10-12% moisture content. About the Tree This Texas-grown Pecan tree was harvested in Fresno Texas in December, 2021. It was in a residential neighborhood where it had been planted near a home that was built in the 1930s. Over the years, the small Pecan tree grew large, and it threatened the house. The homeowners reluctantly called their tree company to cut down the tree and stack the wood for us to recover. We're always happy to save wood from the firepit or city dump. Their trash is now yours to treasure! |

Nice full sized doggy flying toy
This LaRoo Dog Flying Disc surprised my in the size and sturdiness. The disc measures 10 inches across, so it is appropriate for most dogs as it only weighs about 6 ounces. The material of the disc is made from sort of ultra high density foam, so there is a bit of give so depending on your dog they will probably leave some teeth marks as they grab it from the ground, but unlike the hard plastic discs, this disc isn't making many of those sharp edges. My pup loves chasing this disc, but it is a bit unpredictable where it will fly in the wind because is so light, but I think this just enhances the game.

Colorful, Sturdy & Great Value
Color: Large Set of 4
Purchased for our two puppies when they were 2 months old and weighed about 14 pounds so theses balls were a little big for them to hold in their mouths but that didn't stop them from trying. While they did like these balls they much preferred softer soccer balls, the later of which did not hold up well at all. I had hoped they would play with these balls more when they were older but that hasn't happened 5 months later. I guess it's no fun if you can't tear the toy apart. Colors are very bright and they do enjoy chasing after them as long as I am the one rolling them across the room for them. Maybe when they progress to batting things with their paws they will start to do this for themselves.
