It is all heartwood with colors of an overall medium brown. The grain is tight and curling I'd describe it as highly figured and have tried to show this in the photographs, although it may be hard to see given my limited photography skills, haha. I do not know what wood species this is my first guess was Walnut based on overall

Mystery Wood Board ?-420 0.7" x 5.7" x 21.2" 1.5 lbs. This is a nice uniform board of S4S Texas-grown Mystery Wood. It is all heartwood with colors of an overall medium brown. The grain is tight and curling -- I'd describe it as highly figured and have tried to show this in the photographs, although it may be hard to see given my limited photography skills, haha. I do not know what wood species this is -- my first guess was Walnut based on overall color, but the density is too low (30.6 lb/ft3 compared to walnut at ~42 lb/ft3). This piece has been air-dried to 10-12% moisture content. I see no cracks, checks, or other significant flaws. However, there are some scattered bug holes in this piece that you may want to fill with epoxy or CA glue. There are more than 3 photos, so please scroll down past the first 3 to see them all. |

Nice golf/dress shirt with extra length

Very nice golf and dress shirt. I don't like "polo" shirts with collars so I was looking for something different but I normally wear a tall. These are nice quality with great color and they have the extra length. Fabric is thin but nice and moisture wicking. Very comfortable with a loose fit. My normal size is XL tall but I ordered this in 2XL and it fits just like my XL tall shirts. I have two of them and will order more since they have a variety of colors. Great for golf or a little dressy for out on the town. Seems well made.
