AQ Cutting Mat Required: GO! Cutting Mat, 10 in. x 24 in. 2 Pack (25.4 cm x 61 cm) Item 55205

How to Die Cut Oven Mitt Shapes:

For best cutting results, position fabric on the lengthwise grain (straight of grain) as it goes under the roller.

  • To make one oven mitt: Cut four 10" x 16" rectangles (two outer layers and two inner lining layers). Cut two 10" x 16" rectangles of heat-resistant batting such as Insul-Bright® to protect your hands from burns.
  • Lay one 10" x 16" piece of lining fabric right side down on the table in front of you. Top with one 10" x 16" piece of insulated batting. Lay one 10" x 16" piece of outer fabric on top of the batting, pin, or baste together. Repeat with remaining lining, batting, and outer layers. Quilt as desired to make two ‘fabric sandwiches’. (Note: You will need to cut two ‘fabric sandwiches’ for each oven mitt.)
  • Lay one ‘fabric sandwich’ on die with outer fabric facing up, cover with mat, and cut. Repeat with the second piece but be sure to place it with the outer fabric facing the foam and cut.

Why Quilters Love the GO! Oven Mitt Dies:

  • If you need a holiday or seasonal home décor or personalized gifts, oven mitts can be cut in minutes and sewn quickly and easily!

  • No templates are required! The GO! Oven Mitt die includes one shape that is difficult to cut by hand.
  • Make it personal! The area on the oven mitt is designed to work with applique shapes that are 4" x 6" or smaller. Find a complete list of compatible AccuQuilt shapes below.

AccuQuilt Benefits:

  • Cut so much more fabric in less time.
  • Get accurate cuts every time -- No slipping rulers or mistakes
  • Easiest to use -- Simply place die on cutter, then fabric and cutting mat on top
  • Save fabric with Two Tone Foam -- Get more out of your fabric by placing it only over the shape you want to cut.
  • Safe to use -- No blades come anywhere near your fingers

Die Tips:

  • With some fabrics, after cutting, a thread or two will remain where die blades meet. Snip threads with scissors.
  • Blades on some dies are positioned at an angle.  Align fabric to edge of shape, not edge of die board.
  • Use good quality fabric to reduce fabric stretch.
  • It's always a good idea to test cut one shape before cutting many shapes to ensure fabric orientation is correct.

    Excellent Protection for Active Kids
The Coppertone Kids Sunscreen Lotion, SPF 70 has become a must-have in our outdoor routine. This sunscreen provides outstanding protection for my child’s skin, and I trust it to keep them safe during long hours outside. Reliable Sun Protection for Kids This sunscreen offers excellent SPF 70 protection, which is ideal for active kids who love being outdoors. I appreciate that it’s designed specifically for children, and it holds up well during activities, even with a lot of sweating or water play. Slightly Thick, but Worth the Effort The only small drawback is that it’s a bit thick, making it a little difficult to squeeze out of the bottle. However, once applied, it absorbs well and doesn’t leave a sticky residue, so it’s worth the minor inconvenience. Final Thoughts Overall, Coppertone Kids Sunscreen Lotion is an effective, reliable option for parents looking to keep their children protected in the sun. Despite the thicker consistency, it’s easy to apply and provides lasting coverage—highly recommended for peace of mind outdoors!

    Love this product!
This sunscreen is heavy duty, I use it on my boys when we go to beach (They love to spend hours and hours under the blistering sun) and it out performs other brands and has longer protection than their 50 SPF product.

    Sun Safe and Satisfied
Living in Arizona, where the sun reigns supreme, finding a reliable sunscreen for my daughter has been paramount. Our spring and summer are filled with swimming lessons, poolside gatherings, and outdoor adventures. In this sun-drenched setting, Coppertone SPF 70 Sunscreen for Kids has become our go-to sun protection. The standout feature for me is its thick consistency. It’s a parent’s little helper, allowing clear visibility of where the sunscreen is applied to ensure no spot is missed. And the results speak for themselves – my daughter hasn't had a sunburn since we started using it. While she doesn’t have the fairest skin and tends to tan rather than burn, the effectiveness of this sunscreen has been impressive. I’ve even used it on my own skin, particularly on my shoulders, and I'm happy to report no sunburns there either. It’s reassuring to have a product that I can trust for both myself and my child. However, I’m aware of the growing concerns regarding certain sunscreen ingredients and their potential health implications. Coppertone SPF 70 contains a mix of chemical sunscreens like Avobenzone, Homosalate, and Oxybenzone. These ingredients have raised questions in recent years. Some studies suggest that chemical sunscreens can be absorbed through the skin and into the bloodstream, leading to potential health risks. Oxybenzone has been under scrutiny for its potential effects on coral reefs and marine life, as well as concerns about hormonal disruption in humans. While these ingredients have been effective in preventing sunburns for us, I understand the importance of making informed choices, especially when it comes to health and wellness. As with any health-related product, I encourage others to research and decide what’s best for their family, considering both the effectiveness of sun protection and the potential impacts of ingredients. In conclusion, Coppertone SPF 70 has been a reliable ally in our family's fight against sunburns. It's a product that offers peace of mind when it comes to sun protection, but mindful consideration of its ingredients is advised for those who are concerned about the broader implications of chemical sunscreens.

Amazing how fast it goes on without the white look!
This stuff is amazing!! I wear baby sunscreen because I rub my eyes a lot, but most of it takes forever to rub in and not look white. This rubs in immediately like any other sunscreen, and it doesn’t burn my eyes at all, not even when I scratch my face and then rub my eyes. So it’s great for small children too, not just 75 yr old ones!

    Used for years
I have used this sunscreen since my kids were toddlers. I don’t find it sticky and it turns clear pretty fast. I don’t typically need to reapply on them more than once.
