Orders for this product usually ship in 7-14 business days.

The ZIGZAG mechanical Prusik allows the user to move around efficiently in a tree using classic Prusik pulley system technique. The friction chain provides precision and fluidity when moving around. The pulley is mounted on sealed ball bearings to allow the slack to be taken up easily. Can be used on either doubled ropes or a single rope, providing great versatility. The lower attachment hole is fixed to ensure alignment of the device with the axis of the worker and to optimize grip.

Features:

Intuitive to use:

  • Technique identical to classic Prusik pulley system
  • The device locks automatically on the rope once the friction chain extends

For efficient movement within the tree:

  • Rope feed is smooth and precise thanks to the release lever, allowing the user great control over his/her movements. Adjusting the pressure on this lever controls the speed of movement
  • Easy to take up slack, thanks to the pulley mounted on sealed ball bearings and the separated and curved side plates
  • Lower attachment hole is fixed to ensure alignment of the device with the axis of the worker and optimize grip

Versatile:

  • For use on either doubled ropes or a single rope, thanks to the CHICANE accessory, which offers more friction on the descent, and the KNEE ASCENT assemblies, which facilitate the ascent
  • Upper attachment hole for the rope end when using a doubled rope or for the CHICANE auxiliary braking device when using a single rope. It has a flexible positioning ring that helps keep the connector oriented along its major axis
  • Auxiliary attachment hole for adding a ZILLON lanyard or connecting a second system

Durability:

  • Steel construction for improved durability
  • Separated and curved side plates for better wear resistance
  • Rope compatibility: 11.5 to 13 mm diameter
  • ZIGZAG allows the user to work in compliance with the ANSI Z133 standard

Does a good job, and works pretty well. Took weeks to have it delivered.
Works pretty well, seems to be slightly underpowered. I think it would work better if the soil here were drier. The shroud around the blade would probably not jam up with dirt if the soil here is drier. I was constantly having to remove the battery and using a screwdriver to remove the dirt from the shroud. The shroud would work better if it was larger. There is an adjuster that lowers a metal guide that fits up against the concrete that helps you to keep the blade right up to the edge, make sure to lower that guide into place. The 20 Volt Max batteries I used are hard to insert and remove, but mine are aftermarket batteries, and another tool I own is also hard to insert and remove the same batteries.

Good luck with trying to find blades. To work properly one has to find a blade with a center hole of 7/16” diameter OBLONG so it can engage the motor shaft and not spin freely DO NOT BUY THIS REPEAT DO NOT BUY THIS

Make sure you have original DeWALT batteries
Color: Yellow
I thought there was something wrong with the edger but it was the batteries. Must use original DeWALT batteries. I have cheap replacement batteries that work fine for all my DeWALT tools but do not work with this edger. Will run for a few seconds and shut off. With original DeWALT batteries, this edger works great.

Descent tool.
Definitely won't go as far as the add says on a fully charged battery. But works good never the less.
