The color is a pinkish brown with lighter colored mottling and some light spalting. This block has subtle, attractive grain patterns, which includes darker streaks and knots. This block has subtle, attractive grain patterns, which includes darker streaks and knots. It is lightly spalted with "white rot" style spalting. There are several lines of black-line spalting visible on the cut surfaces. This wood has been carefully air-dried to 10-12% moisture content. There are some drying cracks present that we recommend you fill with CA glue prior to or during turning. Pear wood typically has a fine and even grain pattern, which can result in a smooth and attractive surface when turned. This fine grain allows for intricate details and clean cuts. It is delightful to turn! |

Suit looks great for fun formal events

The style and fit are great. I did notice a white thread in the shoulder poking out. I used a marker to darken it so it was not noticeable but other than that this suit really looks great. We have a music event in a couple of weeks that I am wearing this to and think it will delight as a sharp but different. I was also happy that it did not require alterations, sleeve length was on spot and everything fit great (XL) also this is a slim fit but I am not that slim and it fit nicely on me. As long as it doesn't disintegrate during the event I will consider this money well spent.
