When to Replace
- The existing bulb is cracked, hazy, or brittle.
- The bulb does not return to its original shape after being pressed.
- Fuel is leaking from or around the primer bulb assembly.
- The engine becomes difficult to start and requires excessive priming.
Installation Tips
- Ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the spark plug wire before starting work.
- Note the orientation of the fuel lines before disconnecting them from the old bulb.
- Squeeze the two mounting tabs on the old bulb to release it from the housing.
- Insert the new bulb until the two mounting tabs click securely into place.
- Reconnect the fuel lines to the correct ports on the new bulb.
