Chickpeas are rich in protein and a rich source of fibre. Cooking: soak in water overnight, drain and rinse. Place in a pan. Cover with water and cook for 20-25 minutes, for firmer beans of 40-45 minutes for softer beans. Great in curries and are the main ingredient for making hummus and falafels.
